Source: Kevin O'Brien, NOAA/PMEL submitted these data and metadata to OCADSA 
via SOCAT.

Action(s): This data set is part of the SOCAT NOT automated submission to OCADS. All original 
data and metadata files were transferred to the directory of data/0-data/. NCEI personnel 
extracted the longitude and latitude data, and plotted a sampling station map. Both the 
generated longitude latitude file and the sampling station map were saved in the about/ 
directory. NCEI personnel also converted the .xls metadata file to .csv and saved it in 
the data/1-data/ directory.

Files:

about/
This directory contains files created by NCEI staff, email correspondence,
and other 'negotiable' information between NCEI staff and the data provider.

0292120_lonlat.txt - 
  Contains station locations for these data.  Each row contains the
  geographical position where these data were collected (longitude in the
  left column and latitude in the right column, both in decimal degrees).
  NCEI may have corrected or omitted geographic positions that seemed to be
  in error when generating this file.  However, NCEI did not change the
  original data files under the directory data/0-data/.

This directory contains the data files as submitted to NCEI.

*.csv - Comma-separated-value (CSV) files are the original data files sent by data providers
