Here are the Matlab routines and instructions to read SOCAT data. 

Sorry for the delay.

The old (posted) routine to read the gridded files still works. It is not crucial to update it with this one but you can if you want.

I have tested the other routine with synthesis and LAS files. Should it read other files?
