Dear SOCAT colleagues,

The synthesis and gridded datasets for SOCATv2019 (previously referred to as SOCATv7) is now available from the Data Downloads page on the SOCAT internal website. These data files are in the same format as the corresponding files in previous releases of SOCAT.  These data files do not contain all the DOI's that will be present in the final archived versions.

If you had already noticed that these datasets were available prior to this email, please see the notes on the Data Downloads page about updates made to these files over the last week or so.

Until the formal release of SOCATv2019 on June 18, the SOCAT QC Editor on the internal website is configured to allow viewing of the gridded, as well as "cruise-tracks" datasets, from earlier releases of SOCAT.  (Select the "Dataset Collections" button in the upper left corner of the page to examine different data collections.)  Comparison and differences in gridded datasets is also possible.  If you change the data collection being examined, be sure to return to the "SOCAT Latest Data Collection" before attempting to do any QC.
