Source: Are Olsen et al, GLODAPv2 global group submitted these data to former CDIAC 
via CDIAC OME automated system on June 10, 2016.

Action(s): The original data and metadata files were sent to CDIAC as ZIP file by the 
GLODAPv2 group in July 2016 . The data set was archived at CDIAC in 2016.
The data set was transferred to NCEI on May 11, 2017 for archive. All original 
data and metadata files were transferred to the directory of data/0-data/. NCEI 
personnel extracted the longitude and latitude data, and plotted a sampling station 
map. The GLODAPv2 map and the generated longitude latitude file were saved in the 
about/ directory. NCEI personnel also created the .xls metadata file and converted 
to .csv format and saved it in the data/1-data/ directory.

This accession supersedes NCEI accession 0001644:
GLobal Ocean Data Analysis Project (GLODAP) version 1.1 (NODC Accession 0001644)

about/
This directory contains files created by NCEI staff, email correspondence,
and other 'negotiable' information between NCEI staff and the data provider.

0162565_lonlat.txt - 
  Contains station locations for these data.  Each row contains the
  geographical position where these data were collected (longitude in the
  left column and latitude in the right column, both in decimal degrees).
  NCEI may have corrected or omitted geographic positions that seemed to be
  in error when generating this file.  However, NCEI did not change the
  original data files under the directory data/0-data/.

0-email.txt - 
  E-mail from personnel notifying CDIAC that they sent their data to the CDIAC
