Source: These data were downloaded from the Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis
        Center (CDIAC): http://cdiac.ornl.gov/ftp/oceans/CARINA/CARINA_Database/ 
	as per agreement between NODC and CDIAC.

Action(s): The original data files were uncompressed and transferred to the 
	data/0-data/ directory. NODC personnel extracted the longitude and latitude 
	data, and plotted a sampling station map. Both the generated longitude 
	latitude file and the sampling station map are saved in the about/ directory.

Version 2.2: Downloaded the adjustments and crossover tables from the CARINA web 
	site and added them to the archive package. (Liqing Jiang; 2014-02-27)

Files:

about/
This directory contains files generated by NODC with ancillary information
about the data submission.

0113899_lonlat.txt - Contains sample locations for these data. Each row contains 
	the geographical position where these data were collected (longitude in 
	the left column and latitude in the right column, both in degrees). NODC 
	may have corrected geographic positions that seemed to be in error when 
	generating this file. However, NODC did not change the original data files 
	under the directory data/0-data/.

data/0-data/
This directory contains the original files that were downloaded from CDIAC.

CARINA_adjustments_2009_06_09.csv - contains adjustment values files and comments.

CARINA_crossovers_2009-02-26.csv - contains the manually generated offset values 
	for close to 5000 crossovers. Also generic information to a crossover, 
	such as position, number of stations is usually supplied. You will find 
	many empty cells, i.e. manual crossover was not preformed. A value of -999 
	means "Not Available".
