Use of these data implies an agreement to reciprocate.  Laboratories making
similar measurements agree to make their own data available to the general
public and to the scientific community in an equally complete and easily 
"accessible form.  Modelers are encouraged to make available to the community, "
"upon request, their own tools used in the interpretation of the AOML data,"
namely well documented model code and any additional information necessary for 
other scientists to repeat the work and to run modified versions.

Comments:

Kevin Sullivan sailed with the ship as observer from Reykjavik to Boston.  In Boston two standard gas cylinders were changed and the subsystem for draining the reservoir was repaired.  While Kevin was aboard the draining of the reservoir was done via an arrangement of the ship's resources presented by the second engineer, Benni Petursson.  A small change was made on the exit of the TSG (1/2" diameter tubing replaced 3/4" diameter tubing).  This change was done to increase the pressure being delivered to the CO2 instrument and improve the stability of the water flow through the equilibrators.

The data record immediately before changing the gas cylinders was terminated without final analyses of the standards.  To ensure that the data processing was done appropriately, the last set of standards were copied and relabelled with times just after the last water analyses on 23 October.
