From: Miller, Lisa Date: Thu, Jun 24, 2021 at 2:12 PM Subject: update to August 2001 Line P data (EXP#18DD20010823) To: Alex Kozyr - NOAA Affiliate , Wan, Di Hello Alex and Di, Thanks to a colleague who's been trapped in England taking care of decrepit parents and working on old data sets through the pandemic, i've dug into the cruise report for and discovered a mistake in the August 2001 Line P data set. We'd had the wrong sample bottle size, and therefore the wrong dilution factor for the HgCl2 poison. The updated data file is attached. Alex - the first two sheets in the attached excel file are for you. The changes in the 'Final' sheet are in the TIC and ALK columns; the changes in the 'OCADSmetadata' sheet are in the 'Detailed sampling and analyzing information' and 'Poisoning correction description' fields for both DIC and Alkalinity. Di - for the IOS archive, i've also updated the calculations in the raw data sheets, and i've updated the replicates values and made a note in the 'version control' field on the 'IOSmetadata' sheet. I'm very sorry about this, and thank you, both, for maintaining everything so well. I hope you're doing well, Alex, and enjoying getting out more! Lisa A. Miller Institute of Ocean Sciences P.O.
